Photobiomodulation, also know as Red light therapy, is a safe and non-invasive treatment during which natural red light penetrates the skin and the cells. Once it reaches the mitochondria, it stimulates the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) - your body’s natural energy source.
Red Light Therapy harnesses the healing properties of Red and Near-Infrared Light to stimulate cellular repair and rejuvenation. This non-invasive therapy has been shown to promote muscle recovery, reduce inflammation, and improve skin health. By penetrating deep into the skin, red light therapy encourages the production of collagen and ATP, leading to improved circulation and accelerated healing. Experience the transformative benefits of red light therapy today and discover a brighter, healthier you!
Provides ultimate versatility for overall health by delivering an equal percentage of both red light at 660 nm and near-infrared light at 850 nm.
A greater percentage of red light is absorbed by your skin, leading to increased collagen production and optimal skin health.
Near-infrared light penetrates deeper within your body – enhancing muscle recovery and reducing joint pain.
Many of us just don’t have the time in our busy lives to get enough healthy sunlight. We are up before the crack of dawn to get the kids ready for school and off to work and not returning home until after sunset. We are all guilty of spending too much time indoors usually under artificial lights and sitting in front of a blue lit screen.
MitoGen red and infared lights have been created to concentrate and supplement these critical sunlight frequencies that we miss out on by living indoors.
Now you can use Oxygen Rooms whole body Red Light Pods to obtain the benefits of this light without heading out into the sun. You can now supplement your body with the beneficial red and infrared wavelengths to improve health and longevity.

The effectiveness of Photobiomodulation, Red Light Therapy depends on correct dosimetry (wavelength, intensity, duration, and frequency of treatment). Our trained professionals will create a treatment plan based on your needs.
Using a Red Light therapy bed is the simple and easy. Turn the red light therapy bed on, take off your clothes then lie down pulling the top canopy
down over you (or someone else can, if you want it to be even easier!). That’s it!
Lie Back, Relax And Discover the Healing Benefits of Red Light Therapy
Leave feeling refreshed and energised!
A course of treatment is recomended. Results may vary based on individual responses, severity of the condition, and adherence to treatment protocols.
This is an important consideration for a lot of people as the unknown, no matter how beneficial and safe as in the case of red light therapy makes some people hesitate. First off, wearing just your lower underwear, you lie on a firm yet comfortable bed of LEDs, that are encased under the plastic surface you lie on. This provides a comfortable place to relax. In addition to this you will also have the same LEDs above you in a retractable canopy that you can lift up at any time you want.
Once comfortable and in place, the red light and near-infrared lights will come on. You won’t be able to see the near infrared light, as this is invisible to the human eye. However you most certainly can see and feel the red light.
How does the red light feel?
Absolutely beautiful! It’s very soothing and provides your body with a warm glow on the skin.
Some people love the red light in their eyes, as this great source of red light photons is being absorbed further into your body. However, we appreciate for some it’s way too bright. You may mix it up having both eyes open and shut throughout the session or use the goggles provided.
After your red light therapy session has finished, you have this magical glowing feeling, that’s subtle but you most certainly
know it’s there. It’s hard to explain but when you know, you know. Regardless of the amazing benefits to your skin, energy levels and overall health and longevity for us, it’s this glowing, magical feeling which is why we love red light therapy and why we chose to add it to
our clinic, Oxygen Room.
In a perfect world that we are aware we don’t live in, four to six days a week would be super health optimisation. However, more realistically with day to day living, three times a week at 20 minutes each would be great, so an hour of red light therapy per week in total.
we would even go as far to say that if you are not serious about this treatment, having a one off is great for a boost and for those new to red light, to get an understanding of this therapy however the way to think about this is like exercise or brushing your teeth, something you do consistently and regularly.
How Long To See Your Results From Red Light Therapy?
Like most things in life, it depends!
Yes there are so many factors however the main ones are:
1. The individual.
2. How often you have it.
3. Type of device you are using.
4. Particular benefit you are after.
We will keep this as simple as possible for you with little scientific jargon so that this is easy reading for you, and you understand what is going on! The power of light or its irradiance as its often called, is the amount of light being emitted from the red light therapy device. The more powerful the light, the more light photons being emitted and in turn the more energy or red light your body’s cells can absorb. In order for you to get the huge benefits of red light therapy, the device you are using needs to be upto a certain standard. You would think that it’s a fair assumption to think that if you are paying money for a treatment the red light therapy device is good. Sadly don’t assume, as some clinics don’t understand the mechanics themselves behind red light therapy.
Quite simply, it needs to have the right power, certainly not too little nor not too much. More power is not necessarily better. There are a two ways to measure this power output, though don’t be blindsided by total LEDs, important yes but some of the best red light therapy beds have less LEDs than the cheaper ones:
1. Wattage.
2. Irradiance or milliwatts per centimetre (mW/cm 2 ).
Be Aware of Red Light Panels It’s expensive setting up a longevity clinic, very expensive in fact and a lot of places will try and offer services that though are good are not to the level one would expect if paying for these services.
When it comes to red light therapy you have two options. There are two types of red light therapy devices you will encounter at a longevity clinic or wellness centre, either:
1. Red light therapy panels.
2. Red light therapy bed.
Red Light Therapy Panels - They are exactly what they say, a panel of red light LEDs. Though they can vary in size from small, medium, large and very large, in a business environment you will likely see large (not so good) and extra-large, much better. To better understand the sizes we are talking about here, an extra-large panels is 75” by 23” with over 1,100 LEDS, producing an output of c.1,600 watts. Another setup you will often see are the large panels combined together as four panels, bolted together to make an extra-large panel, as explained above. The downside to this setup is that where the panel meet you have big gaps of red light! Not good. Which is why an extra-large panel is better. The key with the red light panel setup is that you have to have red light panels not just in front of you and behind you, but also to both sides of you, to get even close to the effects of a red light therapy bed. Therefore, think of it like a square that you stand in the middle of. We have yet to see this setup, only red light therapy panes in front and behind. Even then this won’t be getting the full length of your body bathed in red light and near infrared light. Even worse is for taller people who will be getting even less red light.
Red Light Therapy Beds - This is your best option to benefit fully from the healing and rejuvenated effects of red light therapy. It’s the best for time as well. By treating your front, back and sides all at the same time i.e. not having to double up your time by turning over.
Like all devices and things in life, not all red light therapy beds are created equal. The important thing we are looking for is the right amount of power i.e. the amount of red light you receive per treatment. A few factors are at play here and in line with keeping this simple, you want high quality LEDs and enough of them. Where it gets rather confusing (even for the experts) is that the number of LEDs can range from a 3,000 upto 45,000. Don’t be fooled that more is necessarily better, however. One of the most highly regarded red light therapy beds in the world has “only” has 3,600 LEDs. Though these LEDs will be of a far higher quality than the rest and the power of the red light bed is 2,700W so it just means that a lot of power is spread over less LEDs. These are £150,000 which sometimes mean they are not commercially viable and tend to go in the homes of billionaires. The best way to know what you are getting is using the power output called irradiance,
however it’s very hard to get an accurate figure as the power quoted by most manufacturers is not the real power as they will use a solar power meter and not a spectrometer. So sadly you can’t rely on this figure even if you ask your longevity clinic. The only real way to find this out, without buying your own spectrometer (they cost £2,500) is to simply try out a few different venues to see the effect you feel after a red light therapy sessions of 20 minutes. Perhaps not the answer you were hoping for but the reality of the situation.
