Scars - Skin grafts
Many scars can be diminished with a combination of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Microneedling and Medical Tattooing.
- Microneedling kick starts the healing process, the body releases various growth factors, such as platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), and fibroblast growth factor (FGF). These growth factors play a crucial role in tissue repair, collagen synthesis, and the formation of new blood vessels.
- Medical Tattooing, Scar Camouflage can camouflage scars resulting from surgeries, injuries, or medical procedures. The tattooing process helps blend the scar tissue with the surrounding skin tone.
This client underwent a course of four treatments. Micro-needling therapy helped to flatten the skin graft and bring fresh blood and lymph to the area to help the graft to connect. A mosaic effect of pigment was infused into the skin to match the surrounding skin tone.
Each session is designed with carefully chosen treatments which work to camouflage, restore and encourage healing.

Frequency of Treatment
Microneedling every 6-12 weeks; 6-12 treatments are recommended for best results.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy; a block of sessions is recommended followed by once weekly maintenance.
Medical Tattooing every 6-12 weeks; 2-4 treatments are usually needed. Maintenance; yearly/biyearly.
